Methodology guide

Prayer calculation methods

Prayer-time calculations combine astronomical inputs with method settings. SalahScope keeps those settings explicit on each city page.

Inputs used by city pages

The canonical city pages use verified latitude, longitude, IANA timezone, local date, default calculation method, madhhab, high-latitude rule and configured adjustments.

The project does not create separate canonical URLs for every method or madhhab variant, because that would duplicate the same city page for search engines.

Local authority differences

Mosque timetables may use a different calculation authority, observation policy, rounding rule or safety adjustment. The city pages disclose the site defaults rather than implying local-authority equivalence.

Apply this guide to real city timetables and the live global map.
