Methodology

SalahScope calculates each city page from GeoNames coordinates, local date, IANA timezone data and the project’s disclosed calculation settings.

Data and routes

The server-only city catalog stores stable GeoNames IDs, country codes, administrative regions, coordinates and IANA time zones. Canonical URLs are generated from a checked-in route manifest, while the interactive map retains a separate fixed 431-city dataset.

Calculation policy

The server-rendered timetable uses the same prayer calculation service as the application. Method, madhhab, high-latitude rule and prohibited-period safety margins are disclosed on city pages.
